Transport planner

JDR Recruitment are hiring on behalf of their client in Worsley, Manchester.

We are looking for an experienced transport planner.
This is a direct permanent position with our client.

As a Transport Planner, you'll be responsible for monitoring our 5 pallet track vehicles, planning collections, and collaborating with our team to manage our 5-6 trampers.
With a focus on last-in, first-out allocation, you'll ensure our drivers are deployed effectively, while also handling the day-to-day tasks of booking jobs and seeking additional loads.

Transport Planner:

* Competitive Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
* Flexible Shifts: Choose between a fixed 7:30 am to 4:30 pm or 11 am to 8 pm shift, or opt for a rotating schedule
* Immediate Start: No notice period required
* Location: This role is based in Worsley,


Requirements:
* Extensive experience in a transport planning role, with a understanding of the industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with drivers, clients, and the wider team
* Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges and find creative solutions
* Proficiency in using a computer
* Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
