Senior Residential Childcare Worker
Location: Dunoon
Salary: £35,048 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Purpose and Expectations
To assist the Management Team with the effective and efficient management of the house. To work within and ensure effective delivery of the main responsibilities and key result areas identified within the role of Senior RCCW.
Responsibilities
* Work with team to facilitate positive practice and shape the practice of the Service.
* Prioritise and allocate high-level needs, including involvement in child protection and outcome‑focused interventions.
* Maintain a team approach placing the child at the centre of the care plan and practise partnership working with all stakeholders.
* Support, motivate, supervise and mentor high‑performing teams to achieve good outcomes for young people.
* Ensure daily routines of the house meet the highest standard and participate in identified tasks.
* Consistently demonstrate best practice in line with Policies and Procedures of the home and Spark of Genius.
* Remain conversant with National Care Standards and ensure all work aligns with these standards.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years residential experience in child care.
* Clear understanding of the National Care Standards, Care Inspectorate inspection process and quality themes.
* Experience in child protection and outcome‑focused intervention planning.
* Committed to continuous professional development and improvement.
