This is a fantastic opportunity to join the neonatal team based at The Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath. You will work in an 8‑bed special care unit led by a team of Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and will be expected to work alongside the nursing team to provide excellent care to our families. Some cross‑site work at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton is expected to meet the needs of the service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Deliver high quality, patient‑centred, compassionate care under the leadership of a Registered Nurse or other registered care professional.
* Support the registered nurse in assessment, planning and evaluation of care with a focus on promoting health and independence.
* Carry out specific clinical and care tasks to a high standard and competency.
* Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS Values.
* Be an accountable professional.
* Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual.
* Work without direct supervision, delivering care independently in line with the defined plan of care and within the scope of the Nursing Associate role.
Qualifications
* GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or equivalent.
* Qualified as a Nursing Associate on the NMC register or working towards registration.
* Previous experience of working in an inpatient environment.
Experience
* Previous experience working with babies or children.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to access computerised data.
* Care planning skills.
Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
* Able to work under own initiative.
Professional Registration
* Registered nursing associate on the NMC register and Nursing associate foundation degree qualification level 5.
