We are currently recruiting a proactive and driven Security Officer (Full Time Nights, 48 Hours Per Week, 4 Nights on / 4 Nights off) to be a part of our main Operational Heartbeat of the Hotel, the Security Department.

Key qualities we are looking from the Security Officer:
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for the safety and security of staff, guests, and visitors on site. You will conduct routine security checks, entrance checks, and support the wider security team with routine duties. This role requires tact, trust, and diplomacy- you must have the ability to assess situations quickly and act in a timely and appropriate manner in any circumstances that require your attention.
We are looking for someone who can maintain clear and concise communication with estate / hotel management, staff, and external authorities when required whilst providing exceptional customer service, assisting guests with inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience while maintaining security protocols.
The ideal candidate will have the following Skills and Knowledge:
Must have proven experience within a Security Officer role within the Hospitality 5* Hotel Industry.
Must have a Close Protection SIA License.
Ability to work under pressure and independently.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Positive attitude.
Commitment to delivering a high level of Guest Service.
Excellent grooming standards.
Must have the ability to interpret and carry out security and emergency response procedures.

The main responsibilities for this role would include:
Surveillance: Monitor hotel premises through surveillance CCTV cameras and regular patrols to detect and prevent any security breaches.
Guest Safety: Provide a visible and reassuring presence for guests and staff, ensuring a secure environment within the hotel.
Access Control: Manage access control systems, ensuring only authorised persons gain access onto the estate and other controlled areas.
Investigations: Conduct investigations into security & safety related incidents, compile reports, and collaborate with local authorities when necessary.
Training and Awareness: Remain up to date and conversant procedural / policy changes and raise awareness of potential security & safety issues with estates / hotel colleagues
Risk / Threat Assessment: Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities, implementing preventive measures to mitigate these risks.
Any other duties as assigned or requested by management to support the overall security and operational needs of the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel.
