Role Overview

* We are seeking an experienced escalator call-out and repair engineer to join our Transport for London team, covering our London Underground escalator portfolio.
* Your priority is to ensure passenger and stakeholder safety by maintaining escalator units.
Typical Daily Tasks
* Perform breakdown and repair work to ensure continuous operation
* Manage escalator portfolio within the London Underground network
* Respond promptly to breakdowns, aiming for first-time fixes
* Communicate effectively with customers on-site
Qualifications & Skills
* NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering or higher, with significant service and maintenance experience
* In-depth knowledge of various escalator brands
* Valid UK driver’s license
* Flexibility for overtime
* Mechanical and electrical engineering skills
* Safety-conscious professional
* Good communication skills
* Adaptable, curious, able to work independently or in teams
* Proficient with electronic/digital tools
