Pastry Chef – Canary Wharf
We are looking for a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team in Canary Wharf,
Job Details:
* Hours: 40 hours per week
* Schedule: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing daily pastry production and retail orders
* Preparing a variety of baked goods, including granola, muffins, tarts, brownies, whole cakes, loaf cakes, and plated desserts
* Prepare and manage large-scale dessert production and oversee bread preparation for multiple dining outlets.
* Conducting weekly stock takes and ensuring efficient kitchen organization
* Leading and mentoring the pastry team, ensuring high standards and consistency
Required Skills & Experience:
* Leadership experience in a pastry kitchen (hotels or corporate environments)
* Ability to give clear feedback and guide team members
* Strong time management and organizational skills
* Skilled in whole cake production, chocolate work, and plating
Personality & Work Ethic:
* Positive attitude and adaptability to a corporate environment
* A team player with a willingness to learn from others
* Creative but able to accept and apply feedback
* Flexible, efficient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen
