Responsibilities of the Hire Controller:
* Build important relationships with internal and external clients
* Hire, rehire, and source equipment from third-party suppliers
* Manage a fast-paced and busy hire desk
* Liaise with colleagues, depots, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment
* Resolve queries or claims professionally, ensuring all paperwork is completed and up to date
* Use CRM systems such as Syrinx, Inspire, or similar
Experience in plant hire, tool hire, powered access hire, accommodation hire, builders merchants, or specialist equipment hire industries is advantageous but not essential.
Potential candidates may have worked as a plant hire controller, hire controller, hire desk controller, hire desk advisor, rental manager, hire negotiator, hire coordinator, or hire and sales controller.
