We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Whittlesey Planning team in the position of Planning Co-Ordinator on a fixed term contract until December 2025.
The role holder will need to be multi-skilled for tasks within the Planning Department.
You will need to meet all customers/haulier requirements in the most cost-effective manner whilst achieving a high level of customer service, as well as provide customers/hauliers with a quality service for all enquiries, prices, invoicing, payments, rebates and other associated administration.
Your duties would include but not limited to the following:
* Answer incoming calls to the office quickly, politely and professionally.
* Be fully responsible for calculating costings, and processing payments accurately.
* Process and manage orders efficiently and accurately.
* Work alongside the planning team clearing loads.
* Proactive calls to hauliers to subcontract work.
* Review, cleanse and input data accurately.
* Uphold customer charter and agreed KPIs.
* Demonstrate excellent diplomatic communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
* Show a high level of initiative and proactive skills.
* Input data accurately and efficiently.
* Act as the first point of contact for customer/haulier enquiries.
* Be fully responsible for calculating costs and processing payments.
* Resolve customer queries and respond to enquiries.
* Manage problems in a calm, professional manner.
* Deliver a professional service to our customer base.

* Geographical knowledge.

* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Knowledge of transport legislation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Understanding of the Working Time Directive.
