Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect to design and implement the platform foundations required to run sophisticated, data-driven campaigns at scale (segmentation, data model, integrations, automation, personalisation, governance.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end SFMC solution design for complex campaign use cases: lifecycle, triggered, multi-step journeys, dynamic content, and advanced segmentation.
Translate business needs into scalable technical designs (target architecture, patterns, standards, and documentation).
Act as the technical advisor to the client: recommend how SFMC should be used to maximise value (capabilities, best practices, operating model, roadmap).
Define and implement the SFMC data model to support sophisticated segmentation and personalisation (Data Extensions, attributes, relationships, suppression rules).
Design audience strategies and segmentation approaches (SQL segmentation, preference logic, eligibility rules, frequency rules).
Core Requirements
Proven SFMC architecture and technical delivery experience across core studios (e.g., Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Content Builder).
Proven experience implementing complex segmentation, data modelling, and integration patterns for sophisticated campaigns.
Experience in relevant areas: SQL for segmentation, data extension design, automation patterns; plus personalisation scripting (AMPscript/SSJS) as needed.
Experience working with large organisations (enterprise governance, multi-stakeholder, compliance constraints).
Nice-to-have:
Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect, APIs/integration middleware, event-based architectures.
Knowledge of deliverability best practices and sender reputation management.
SFMC certifications (Administrator, Email Specialist, Developer) or equivalent experience.
