Overview

The role centres on supporting qualified staff in the development and running of therapeutic programme/s and carrying out service evaluation projects and audits of various therapeutic interventions and initiatives. The role includes co-facilitating a range of manualised group therapy programmes, shadowing and helping out with generic and specialist clinical assessments and offering manualised individual therapy under supervision, when appropriate. The role includes promoting the psychological health and wellbeing of service users waiting for a psychological intervention to start. Under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, to provide psychological and wellbeing reviews to service users, in the form of phone calls. Under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, to undertake protocol based psychological reviews of needs, self-report measures, rating scales and semi-structured interviews. Assist, under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, in collecting clinical data on throughput, outcome measures and service development.


Responsibilities

* Support qualified staff in the development and running of therapeutic programmes and in service evaluation projects and audits.
* Co-facilitate manualised group therapy programmes and assist with generic and specialist clinical assessments.
* Offer manualised individual therapy under supervision, when appropriate.
* Promote psychological health and wellbeing of service users awaiting a psychological intervention.
* Provide psychological and wellbeing reviews to service users by phone, under supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist.
* Undertake protocol-based psychological reviews using needs assessments, self-report measures, rating scales and semi-structured interviews, under supervision.
* Assist in collecting clinical data on throughput, outcomes and service development under supervision.


Organisation information and requirements

As a newly appointed employee, you are responsible for incurring the cost of your initial DBS check relevant to your post; the amount will be deducted from your first salary with the Trust.
