Job Description
Role- Electrical Design Engineer
Salary- £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise)
Type- Permanent
Location- Shrewsbury
My client work within engineering and they are looking to take on a hands on Electrical Design Engineer to develop as part of their team.
The Electrical Design Engineer role will ideally have the following attributes:
* Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City & Guilds / Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
* Have previous experience carrying out electrical design
* Have experience working with control panels
* Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan or SolidWorks Electrical
* Have a basic understanding of PLC and SCADA software ideally
* Any network knowledge would also be ideal – Profinet, Profibus etc.
* Excellent problem solving capabilities
* Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
* Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Full Driving Licence
The Electrical Design Engineer role will involve:
* Working within the existing engineering team
* Producing detailed concept designs
* Electrical schematics CAD design work and PLC wiring diagrams
* Producing panel layouts
* Be able to work with technical documentation
* Be confident creating parts lists and BOM’s
* Contributing to a range of products
