We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established Housing Association in Birmingham for multiple Housing Assistants to join their team on a 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong administrative skills and a customer-focused approach to support the delivery of housing management services. You will play a key role in assisting Housing Officers and ensuring tenants receive a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities of a Housing Assistant:
* Provide administrative support to Housing Officers across a busy housing management team
* Handle incoming calls from tenants, dealing with a range of housing-related queries
* Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
* Assist with tenancy management processes, including documentation and case tracking
* Support with appointment scheduling and general office coordination
* Liaise with internal teams and external partners where required
Requirements for a Housing Assistant:
* Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role (housing experience desirable)
* Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
* Confident using housing management systems (desirable)
