Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council has the perfect opportunity for you. We are recruiting qualified Social Workers for our Through Care Team. Our Children's Services is focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people. As a Social Worker in the Throughcare team you will support children and young people through their journey of care and into permanent arrangements for secure and loving homes. You will be skilled at listening to the voice of the child and working effectively with parents / carers and professionals from a range of agencies to improve the lived experience of children and young people in our care. You will be committed to building trusted relationships with our children, their families and their carers to help build and secure networks that will support our children into adulthood and beyond. We have a highly experienced and dedicated permanent management team who are aspirational for the service, providing consistent management, direction and support. You will be working from our new state-of-the-art council office on the riverside in Stockton, with free parking, a riverside café, and large modern office spaces. We will provide a nurturing environment where your practice will flourish to contribute to positive outcomes for our children, young people and their families. You will work within small, friendly teams, have a manageable caseload, and be provided with strong learning resources. You will also receive development support through the social work academy, regular supervision, and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications
* Have a relevant social work qualification
* Be registered with Social Work England
* Have compassion and an understanding of the needs of children and families
* Have knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and practices
* Be an excellent communicator

* A career progression salary from £34,434 - £47,181
* £3,000 annual retention payment (paid monthly)
