NPFDU FOI Referral Officer and Trainer Location: Near Fareham Salary: £35,526 - £37,692 per annum Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time Monday – Friday with flexible office hours Closing Date: 16 th November 2025 The Police are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the National Police Freedom of Information & Data Protection Unit (NPFDU) as a FOI Referral Officer and Trainer. The Role This is a unique opportunity to work within a national policing unit, supporting police forces across the UK with FOI requests and the development and delivery of FOI training to shape FOI best practice across policing. Skills and Qualifications Educated to Level 3 with a nationally recognised Learning and Development qualification e.g. Learning & Development QCF Level 3 (30 Credits min) Alternatively, an apprenticeship route is available to achieve a formal training qualification. Significant experience of working within a multi-functional organisation and able to demonstrate current competence in subject matter area. Experience of conducting research and applying legal principles using a variety of sources. Experience in training needs analysis, design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of training.
