An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate or Senior Planner to join a leading, award-winning main contractor delivering a major healthcare scheme in Bristol. This is a high-profile, flagship project that will play a vital role in the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
Working as part of a highly experienced and collaborative project team, you will contribute to the successful planning and delivery of a complex, large-scale health development from pre-construction through to completion.
This role is ideal for a driven Construction Planner looking to take the next step on a technically challenging healthcare project with a nationally recognised contractor.
The Role – Intermediate / Senior Planner
As Planner, you will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring detailed construction programmes to ensure the successful delivery of the project. You will work closely with project managers, design teams, commercial teams and site teams to drive progress and mitigate risk.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject
2. Lead planning input from pre-construction through to delivery
3. Produce short-term and long-term programmes, phasing plans and logistics strategies
4. Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
5. Prepare and present programme updates to senior stakeholders
6. Support delay analysis and change management processes
7. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on a complex healthcare scheme
Requirements
8. Experience as a Planner / Senior Planner within a main contractor environment
9. Proven track record on large-scale construction projects (healthcare, hospitals, or complex building projects preferred)
10. Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methodology and logistics
11. Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject
12. Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline
13. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
