About the role
You will join the Hydrometry and Monitoring team based in Reading. The role involves processing and reporting water data (flow, depth, quality and rainfall) collected by our field team, carrying out administrative office tasks, and occasionally assisting field technicians with outdoor work such as site visits and telemetry maintenance.
Essential Requirements
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
* GCSE or equivalent qualification in Geography, Environmental Education, Geology or Outdoor Education.
* BSc degree in Environmental Management, Geography or Geology (preferred).
* A valid UK driving licence.
* Familiarity with data analysis, data quality and data technician tasks, with a focus on managing data quality.
* Experience in hydrometric data reporting (preferred).
* Willingness to occasionally assist field technicians with outdoor tasks.
* Comfortable working in water and confident in swimming.
Experience
Full training will be provided, so prior experience is not required if you meet the essential skills listed above. Experience in processing and reporting hydrometric field data or carrying out administrative duties would be beneficial but is not essential.
