An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SENCo to join the Canterbury Road team! We are looking to appoint an outstanding, efficient, caring and enthusiastic SENCo to work as a valued member of our senior leadership team. The role being offered is permanent, full time but a part time offer may be made for the right candidate.
We are looking for an individual who can provide strategic and operational oversight of provision for those pupils with SEND. You will be the focal point of communication, ensuring effective, efficient and clear communication to parents, pupils and staff in addition to liaising with outside agencies. The successful candidate will promote an inclusive culture which enables all children to achieve their best and support staff to plan for, and minimize, barriers to learning. Whilst it is desirable to have existing SENCo experience, applications from experienced teachers, who are willing to undertake the SENCo qualification, are welcome.

You will need the following qualities, skills and experience:

2. A successful track record of working with parents to support co-authoring and close partnership with our families.
3. Expert knowledge and practice of inclusive teaching.
4. A commitment to inclusion and to working with all stakeholders to ensure inclusion for all.
5. A SENCO qualification or a commitment to complete.
6. Excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of leadership and teamwork.
7. A thorough knowledge of high-quality teaching & learning.
8. Clear thinking, with an ability to use systems effectively to deliver great outcomes.
