The resort is set in 35 spacious acres of ground. With the surrounding area providing ample opportunity for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, golf and fishing. Within the resort there are leisure facilities such as a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub. A dedicated Spa with a relaxing range of treatments, from manicures to full body massages, using the latest products PURE, ESPA and OPI.
On-site restaurants and bars and an outdoor terrace offer a variety of experiences from modern and informal family friendly dining through to more intimate and formal (without being stuffy); all offering a delicious choice of tasty local dishes. A very popular destination for weddings and gatherings, we tailor events that will suit a special occasion or celebration. As Kitchen Porter at Moness Resort you will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and the operational efficiency of the resort kitchens, food and beverage and back of house operations. You will contribute to a positive guest experience, supporting in preparing the Moness Marquee, setting up, servicing and breaking down for weddings, events and gatherings.
Responsibilities
The Kitchen Porter ensures the smooth day-to-day running of the back of house operation by maintaining safe and sanitary conditions in all the food service areas including the equipment. Assisting the kitchen team where needed, providing a courteous and professional service as well as proper care, movement, and storage of all the kitchen equipment.
The kitchens are well maintained and cleaned prior to and after each daily operation including swift and hygienic garbage removal controls, keeping all food preparation areas meticulously clean and tidy.
Training will be provided of each cleaning product and where and how they are used. Working with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) products to ensure a thorough knowledge of any safety measure needed in the use of cleaning materials. Notifying when stocks are running low to ensure we have the supply required to keep the working areas properly stocked and clean.
Maintaining an inventory of plateware, glassware and cutlery. Reporting any breakages and removing damaged items from circulation. Making sure we have the necessary stock in place to cater for any events and highlighting any shortages to the Head Chef.
You have a natural ability to work well within a team and can stay composed under pressure ensuring our high standards are maintained. Communicating effectively with colleagues within the other departments throughout the resort.
