We are on the lookout for a Senior Group Financial Accountant to join our finance team at HQ
Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Control & Compliance, the Senior Group Financial Accountant plays a critical role in delivering accurate statutory reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring compliance across the Group's legal entities.
As the Senior Group Financial Accountant you will act as a key technical and operational partner to the Head of FCC, with significant exposure to auditors, advisors, and senior finance stakeholders.
What you will be doing:
Group Reporting & Statutory Accounts
Lead the preparation of group consolidations, statutory accounts, and entity-level reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP.
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant statutory filings across UK and international entities.
Support shareholder and lender reporting requirements in line with agreed timetables.
Audit, Compliance & Controls
Act as day-to-day lead for external audits, coordinating information flows, resolving queries, and supporting audit sign-off.
Support regulatory reporting and statutory compliance obligations across jurisdictions.
Coordinate and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and internal financial controls.
Support the ongoing development and maintenance of group finance policies and procedures.
Tax, Treasury & Risk
Support delivery of the Group's tax compliance obligations, including coordination with external tax advisors.
Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany reporting.
Support treasury activities including foreign exchange reporting, covenant monitoring, and debt-related analysis.
Contribute to pension-related reporting and governance matters as required.
Process Improvement & Transformation
Drive continuous improvement in statutory reporting and close processes, including automation and standardisation.
Play a key role in finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations and system upgrades.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, control, and data quality across the finance function.
Stakeholder & Team Contribution
Act as a key technical point of contact for finance colleagues and wider business stakeholders.
Support the Head of FCC in managing relationships with auditors, advisors, and external partners.
Coach and review work of junior team members, supporting their technical development.
Deliver high-quality ad hoc analysis and projects to support evolving business needs.

What skills and experiences you'll need to ace this job:
ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
Strong technical accounting expertise (IFRS and UK GAAP).
Experience in group reporting and statutory accounts within a multi-entity, international environment.
Solid understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
Exposure to tax, treasury, and intercompany accounting.
Experience supporting finance transformation or systems implementations.
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
