Role Overview
The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for coordinating health & safety tenders. This role involves supporting and providing competent advice to Sales, Proposals, and Bid Managers to ensure all relevant EHS aspects and resource requirements are identified and evaluated throughout each project, in accordance with Siemens Energy's internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tendering: Support in identifying and evaluating H&S requirements (customer, legislation, Siemens Energy standards) and major H&S risks during opportunity development and bid decision-making.
2. Bid Preparation: Assist in integrating H&S requirements into bid documents, ensuring they are reflected in contracts and project calculations. Contribute to hazard/risk evaluations and ensure responsibilities are clearly defined in contract proposals. Inform procurement about H&S qualifications and certificates needed for contractors. Produce project/site-specific H&S plans such as CPP, TMP, ERP.
3. Contract Negotiation & Handover: Support project managers in updating H&S risk evaluations and ensure proper handover of H&S information and documents to the project execution team.
Health & Safety Support at Manchester Site
Provide routine H&S inspections, update risk assessments, and investigate minor accidents at the Manchester offices.
Qualifications & Skills
* NEBOSH certificate or equivalent in Health & Safety Management.
* CDM Awareness.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High IT literacy (MS Office).
* Interest and willingness to learn in health & safety.
* First Aid at Work (3-day course including defibrillator) desirable.
* NEBOSH Environmental Management certificate or equivalent advantageous.
* Fire Safety awareness desirable.
* Accident investigation experience desirable.
* ISO45001 internal auditor or lead auditor certification advantageous.
