Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialist equipment, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Blackburn. Your duties will include...
* Conduct regular and preventive upkeep on CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
* Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
* Guarantee all machinery runs smoothly and safely, addressing any malfunctions immediately.
* Work with the production team to reduce downtime and boost productivity.
* Keep precise records of maintenance tasks and repairs using the maintenance management systems.
* Assist in overseeing and managing subcontractors.
* Follow health and safety guidelines and company policies.
* Perform general facilities maintenance to ensure the site remains in good condition, posing no risk to employees or the business.
What you'll require to be considered...
* Completed a mechanically-focused apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/Degree, or similar qualifications.
* Preferred experience and expertise in maintaining CNC machinery (turning and milling centers).
* Skilled in mechanical maintenance (motors, pumps, conveyors, fans).
* Solid understanding of automation control systems.
* Verified experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
* Evident safety-first approach.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
* Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
