The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Head of Testing and Validation to lead a cutting-edge department within a forward-thinking R&D environment. You’ll be instrumental in designing and delivering high-quality, technically rigorous testing programmes that underpin product development and innovation.
Your focus will be on leading a skilled team of engineers and technicians, streamlining operational processes, and driving continuous improvement across test planning, execution, and validation. The role offers the autonomy to make a tangible impact on product innovation, speed to market, and overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all testing and validation operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest technical standards.

Inspire, develop, and mentor a talented team to achieve operational and technical excellence.

Collaborate closely with R&D and operations teams to align testing priorities with project objectives.

Drive improvements across data integrity, documentation, health and safety, and equipment management.
*
Embed lean methodologies to enhance process efficiency and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
*
Monitor and optimise KPIs, departmental performance, and capacity planning.
What We’re Looking For

Demonstrable experience managing testing or validation teams in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical setting.

Strong understanding of laboratory or mechanical testing environments.
*
Proven people leader who thrives on developing capability and maintaining high standards.

Excellent organisational, planning, and scheduling skills.

A proactive mindset, with confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.
