Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our interior-design business.
Experience: Proven 2 years’ minimum in a warehouse leadership role is essential.
Technical Proficiency: Familarity with WMS and inventory management techniques. IT skills with ability to use excel and basic accountancy style software such as Xero or Quickbooks or similar.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions to improve operations.
Qualifications: Have a counterbalance forklift licence.
Key Responsibilities
You will be the only employee in the warehouse therefore the below will be your responsibility.
* Oversee daily operations, including receiving, shipping, warehousing, distribution and maintenance activities.
* Oversee and manage off-site storage facilities.
* Conducting cycle counts and stock takes, investigating discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
* Keeping zones safe and tidy.
* Provide leadership and direction to anyone using the warehouse to ensure productivity and safety.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workplace health and safety standards.
* Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions if needed.
* Upkeep of equipment and waste management.
* Supporting daily/weekly checks.
* Goods out/shipping.
* Accurate picking for orders, packaging and labelling.
* Receipt goods-in, checking quantities/quality, completing put-away and advising departments of arrival.
* Organisation of picking areas and bays.
* Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and operational guidelines to enhance efficiency and safety.
* Working closely with other departments such as Logistics, Inventory and Customer Service.
Hours of work: 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Location: Thurrock, potential to be changing in the coming months to Basildon.
Salary: Dependant on experience, £36,000pa.
