Responsible for providing safe, high-quality, and efficient hotel services to patients, carers, staff, and visitors at Trust sites on a day-to-day basis.
Responsible for the daily management of Hotel Services staff, including housekeepers, domestics, porters, catering, reception, storemen, couriers, and post room staff.
Monitor standards and take corrective actions as necessary.
Participate in quality improvement activities and show commitment to them.
Interact compassionately with service users and carers, who may have mental health conditions or learning disabilities.
Promote a positive image of people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, Hotel Services, and the wider Trust at all times.
Main duties of the job
An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, friendly, and enthusiastic individual to work as a Hotel Services Supervisor within the Trust's Hotel Services Team.
Supervisors are responsible for managing Hotel Services staff, including housekeepers, domestics, porters, and receptionists, ensuring high standards of soft services, cleanliness, and food provision.
This role involves shift work, including early/late shifts, weekends, and bank holidays, between 06:45 am and 6:15 pm. The position is for 24 hours per week, permanent, based at Foss Park Hospital, Haxby Road, York. You may be required to work at different locations within a team.
You should be highly motivated, reliable, flexible, and willing to work at short notice. Substantial experience supervising or coaching staff daily is essential. Experience with IT software such as Microsoft Office is required. Experience working in a mental health environment and a passion for high standards of customer service and cleanliness are desirable.
