Salary: £12.85 p/h (CSET 13)

Working weeks: 38 weeks per year (term time only)

Working days: Thursday and Friday

Working pattern: 2 hours per day over lunchtime

Contract type: Fixed Term until 31/08/2026

Lyde Green Primary is delighted to offer an opportunity for a Lunchbreak Supervisor to join our friendly team.

Our supervisors play a vital role in creating a safe, happy, and well-organised lunchtime experience for our pupils.

About the job

We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Lunchbreak Supervisor to join our school team and help make lunchtimes a positive part of every child’s day. You’ll work closely with staff and pupils to create a safe, sociable, and fun environment—whether it’s setting up the dining hall, supporting children during meals, or leading play and activities in the playground (or indoors on rainy days). Your presence will bring stability, encouragement, and fun to our lunchtime routine.

You’ll be someone who brings warmth, energy, and a sense of fun to the role. We’re looking for someone who is:

2. Able to take initiative and work confidently as part of a team
3. Sensitive to the needs of all children
4. Approachable, with strong communication skills
5. Positive, playful, and ready to brighten up lunchtime

About Us

Lyde Green Primary is a fresh and exciting recently built school based at Lyde Green near Bristol. Our aim is to inspire and encourage a passion for lifelong learning in our children, sparking curiosity, promoting creativity and nurturing developing passions to ensure that our children grow and thrive on their journey through school.
