Job Title: Industrial Engineer
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom
We are seeking a talented Industrial Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team, focusing on Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Design and Improvement: Assist in designing, improving, and installing integrated systems to optimize the use of people, materials, information, equipment, and energy. Enhance industrial engineering systems and databases.
2. Cost Analysis: Perform cost analyses for sub-assemblies to ensure cost-effective production. Support finance with BWS hour accuracy.
3. Production and Operations Planning: Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to optimize workflows and schedules. Evaluate machinery and equipment usage to ensure performance and reduce downtime. Develop and implement time and motion studies and maintain the standard time database.
4. Safety Improvements: Participate in safety initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
5. Process Optimization: Analyze and improve production processes using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to reduce waste and increase efficiency and quality.
6. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data on performance, efficiency, and costs. Use statistical tools to model and predict outcomes, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
7. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate with senior management to align processes with business goals.
8. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and foster a culture of innovation.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent experience. Basic relevant work experience required.
Skills: Effective communication, analytical skills, teamwork, and understanding of ergonomic fundamentals to promote safety and efficiency.
The compensation package is aligned with local bargaining or union agreements.
