Receptionist
Location: London
Start Date: Immediate
Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are looking for a professional, friendly, and highly organised Receptionist to join a busy London office. As the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and colleagues, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient front-of-house experience.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll manage reception duties, meeting rooms, and switchboard calls, while also supporting the wider team with administration and ad hoc tasks. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and pride yourself on being approachable and reliable, this could be a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a professional services setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a professional reception service: greeting visitors, answering and transferring calls, managing incoming/outgoing post, and handling deliveries.
* Manage front-of-house to ensure the reception area is welcoming and always presentable.
* Coordinate meeting rooms: booking, preparing refreshments, setting up AV, and ensuring rooms are clean, tidy, and stocked.
* Support office operations: booking couriers and travel, processing invoices, ordering supplies, and responding to staff queries.
* Assist with wider team tasks such as managing the info mailbox, supporting presentations and events, and organising staff gifts.
Skills & Experience:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) including passes in English and Maths.
* Previous experience in a reception, office, or customer service role is desirable.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
* Capable of following set procedures while also using initiative when needed.
Personal Attributes:
* A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Approachable, professional, and reliable.
* Strong communication skills with a friendly and engaging manner.
* Able to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
