<div><p>Were looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to join our Food & Safety Team, helping to protect communities and support local businesses across Swale, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells. This is a dynamic, varied role where youll combine regulation, advice and partnership working to drive high standards in food safety and workplace health.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Carrying out inspections and investigations across a wide range of businesses.</li><li>Supporting businesses with clear, practical advice to achieve compliance.</li><li>Taking enforcement action where needed, including preparing cases and attending court.</li><li>Investigating complaints and public health risks, including infectious disease cases.</li><li>Leading on specialist areas and contributing to service improvement projects.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>A degree or diploma in Environmental Health (or equivalent).</li><li>Experience in food safety and health & safety enforcement.</li><li>Strong communication skills and confidence working with a range of people.</li><li>Excellent organisation and the ability to manage your own workload.</li><li>A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and commitment to public health.</li><li>Full UK Driving License and access to a car.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Financial: An attractive basic salary within a clear pay structure.
