Work-mode: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

Location: Sheffield, Scunthorpe, or Howden, United Kingdom

Salary: £65,000 – £90,000 per annum (depending on experience) + excellent benefits package

Our client is a highly regarded and award-winning regional law firm with a strong reputation across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and the East Midlands. With modern offices and a forward-thinking leadership team, the firm offers an exciting opportunity for a senior family law professional to take on a leadership role within a well-established and expanding Family Law department.


We are seeking an experienced Family Law Partner - or a Senior Associate ready to progress into Partnership - to help lead and grow the firm’s family law offering in Goole and the surrounding region. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a well-respected team, develop new business, and play a key role in the strategic growth of the department.


Responsibilities

* Manage and supervise a varied caseload of complex private family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, children’s cases, and injunctions
* Lead and develop the Family Law department across the region, working closely with senior leadership to drive growth and operational excellence
* Provide high-quality legal advice and advocacy, maintaining exceptional standards of client care
* Develop and maintain strong client and professional relationships, driving business development and referral opportunities
* Mentor, supervise, and support junior solicitors and legal staff, fostering a collaborative team culture
* Contribute to departmental and firm-wide strategy, sharing best practices and supporting continuous improvement
* Represent the firm at networking events, professional associations, and community initiatives
* Ensure full compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, maintaining the firm’s reputation for integrity and professionalism


Requirements

* Qualified Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 7+ years PQE
* Proven experience managing a broad family law caseload, including complex financial and private children’s matters
* Strong advocacy and negotiation skills with excellent client-facing ability
* Demonstrated track record of business development and relationship building
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
* Legal Aid experience advantageous but not essential
* Commercially aware and strategic, with the ability to contribute to departmental growth
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Motivated, empathetic, and collaborative, with a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
