Security Officer Role:
* Protect staff, stock & customers
* Prevent theft
* Partner with store management teams
* Deliver professionalism and customer service

Requirements:
* Valid SIA licence
* UK right to work & 5-year history
* Customer service skills

* Retail/leisure experience (preferred)

Role Summary
Provide a visual deterrence and presence in the allocated BID area. Provide excellent customer service to businesses, residents, and visitors. Use the Alert App and other platforms to report all activity. Support the area and business within a reasonable travel distance as directed.
Responsibilities
* Provide a visible, proactive, and reassuring presence in the BID area.
* Engage with businesses to communicate the work of the BID and provide advice about crime or other issues.
* Visit businesses regularly and maintain contact to offer reassurance and information.
* Support the link between the BID and the area’s businesses.
* Report public realm issues to relevant authorities.
* Identify, investigate, deter, and report on crime and anti-social behaviour.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, BID Wardens, and other partners.
* Attend meetings, complete reports, and participate in coordinated operations.
* Report incidents via electronic platforms and the Alert app.
* Be approachable and helpful to locals, tourists, and all persons in the area.
* Study the BID area to provide advice or assistance.
* Perform any other reasonable tasks given by management.
Person Specification
* SIA Licence (CP, DS, or Security) essential.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient with technology, smartphones, and reporting apps.
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
* Confident in handling issues and escalating as needed.
* Available to work weekends.
* Experience in similar roles is desirable.
* Supportive team player with a proactive attitude.
* The role requires ongoing patrols across the BID area; candidates must meet this demand with or without reasonable adjustments.
