This role is designed for a sandwich year student eager to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical, elite football environment. Working within the First Team setup, the successful applicant will gain valuable experience supporting the First Team players in their performance for the 26/27 season. You will be guided by the Head of Performance analysis and supported by the First Team Performance Analyst department. Role Responsibilities Filming: Record training sessions & home matches. Equipment Management: Equipment is maintained, secured, and regularly serviced. Analysis: maintain and analyse training log, support opposition analysis, support goal keeper analysis. Collaboration: Work closely with coaches and support staff to meet performance analysis objectives. Development: Continuously expand your skills and knowledge in performance analytics. What We’re Looking For Essential Criteria: Currently studying a degree in Sport Science or a related field with an interest in Performance Analysis A genuine passion for working within an elite football environment Enhanced FA DBS check (E) – this will be arranged by us and is required even if you already have a current DBS certificate Strong desire to build a career in Performance Analytics Commitment to safeguarding and promoting player welfare Desirable Criteria: BFAS certification, and Safeguarding Children Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Full driving licence Experience with performance analysis tools such as Hudl and Wyscout Prior experience in a professional sports setting Coaching qualifications What can we provide? A formalised learning placement within a professional football club in collaboration with degree programmes. Regular internal CPD and a minimum of 1x external CPD relevant to the role. A stipend of £8,000 for the placement year. Experience working within an MDT. Opportunities to lead within areas of the department and a true hands-on experience of what working in a professional football club will be like. Assist analysis departmentby providing timely and accurate access to relevant information for the player review process, ensuring comprehensive and well-maintained records. 3.2 Personal Development Commit to continuous personal and professional development,demonstrating curiosity and actively seeking learning opportunities from all members of the First Team Analyst Team.
