Overview
We are looking for a Head of IT and Digital to join us in a key role at the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) delivering on our digital strategy. This is a 9 month fixed-term role; we are also happy to offer this as a secondment opportunity across government.
You will lead on the development, implementation and management of our digital and data strategy. This will include management of our 3rd party provided digital services and identifying functional system and equipment requirements and improvements.
You will work closely with our external service provider and other areas of the organisation to ensure that our digital services can support the regulator in meeting its objectives. You will champion the ongoing improvement of digital services, working collaboratively across the organisation to gain in depth understanding of digital needs, identifying suitable options.
Requirements / Qualifications
As the successful candidate you will have a strong IT background, with experience of working in a business facing role, developing in depth knowledge of business processes. You will also have experience of building, influencing and maintaining key relationships, ideally both internally and externally to the organisation.

About RSH and role context
At RSH you'll be joining an organisation that gives you the opportunity to make a difference to people's lives, regulating a sector that houses 4 million people across England. You will have a passion for technology, with a strong understanding of digital products and technologies, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure, as well as experience with cloud based SAAS platforms. You will have experience of effectively delivering change and encouraging the adoption of new digital tools and processes.

Location and working pattern
We operate a hybrid model of working with a mix of office and home working, as well as offering a range of flexible working arrangements. This role can be based out of any of RSH's core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. Our Manchester and Bristol offices will be relocating during 2025/26, however will remain within the city centre. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.
