The role
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional housing management services? This is vital role in social housing, fostering positive relationships with residents and ensuring services are responsive, supportive, and effective.
In this full time, permanent role, you will oversee designated social housing neighbourhoods around the North Kent area, ensuring adherence to tenancy conditions while achieving key service targets.
You will be a visible ambassador for the organisation, demonstrating integrity and respect while building constructive relationships across teams and communities.
This is a mobile role where you'll be travelling between your allocated neighbourhood and the HQ in Chatham. Salary £40,314
What you'll be doing:
Actively engage with residents to deliver housing management and tenancy services, addressing tenancy breaches and managing neighbourhood disputes.
Offer general housing advice and assist new tenants in understanding their rights and responsibilities so they can settle into their homes successfully.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to address anti-social behaviour and provide vital support to residents during critical situations.
Promote a positive complaints culture, using resident feedback to enhance service delivery and drive high satisfaction levels.
Maintain accurate, high-quality records on housing management systems (such as ONE Housing) to ensure strong compliance.
What you need:
Proven experience working within a housing sector environment with a focus on outstanding customer service.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of housing and tenancy law.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be resilient, empathetic, and comfortable handling challenging conversations professionally.
Experience in managing customer complaints effectively, ensuring resident needs are always prioritized.
A strong awareness of cultural diversity and the ability to provide tailored support to a varied customer base.
Ideally you will also have a relevant professional qualification, such as CIH Level 2 or 3, with experience preparing cases for legal action, including court attendance.
