As a Management Accountant, you'll work within our Finance team, providing a unique career move to meet the needs of a complex organisation experiencing rapid growth within an evolving industry. You will own the month-end Management Accounts process for City Plumbing branches, supported by two Finance Analysts, and be responsible for ensuring compliance, efficiency, and delivery of robust management accounts for our branch network.

1. Accountable for managing and producing all aspects of Management Accounts across the Specialist Business Units (DHS, NSS, Spares (Branches), and PTS Ireland), including monthly P&L, flash reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and uploading results.
2. Supporting the production of budgets and reforecasts for the SBUs at key reporting dates.
3. Submitting government reports, including VAT, ROI VAT, and Intrastat.
4. Preparing balance sheet reconciliations to maintain strong internal controls.
5. Liaising with and supporting the FP&A team with monthly balance sheet and P&L information.
6. Delivering weekly sales and trading margin reports to the wider business.
7. Providing financial modeling and analysis as needed.
8. Developing bespoke reports to provide insights and impact analysis.
9. Supporting ad hoc reporting/projects with accounting expertise.
This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work from home, provided you are within commuting distance of our newly refurbished offices in Crick, Northamptonshire.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified accountant with a proactive and analytical approach.
* Experience in financial controls and management accounts reporting.
* Strong leadership skills to develop team members.
* Experience working with senior stakeholders and financial modeling (budgets, reporting, month-end).
* Excellent communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
Ideal Background
You may have experience in roles such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, Assistant Management Accountant, Finance Manager, or Finance Analyst, and have worked with products/services like building products, construction, or IT finance.
