Our client, is currently seeking an ambitious Heritage Manager to join their expanding team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and develop a new team of town planners within a company that boasts over 200 employees across various business areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establishing and growing a team of town planners from scratch
* Managing heritage and town planning projects from inception to completion
* Overseeing applications ranging from minor developments to large land promotions, including diverse projects
* Collaborating closely with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
* Providing expert advice on heritage conservation and planning matters
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
* Conducting heritage assessments and impact analyses
* Mentoring and developing junior team members
Job Requirements:
* Experience in town planning, with a focus on heritage management
* Strong knowledge of heritage conservation principles and practices
* Understanding of local authority planning processes and regulations
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in town planning or a related field
