Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking the management and mentoring of Site Engineers
Providing technical support and guidance to site workers and engineers
Regularly checking and monitoring setting out compliance with site engineers
Supporting the Site Agent in driving forward the construction phase of the project
Liaising with the Site Agent, Project Manager and others to manage, control and allocate project resources
Compiling and reviewing work package plans and other management plans
Reporting and resolving any on-site issues or conflicts promptly and effectively
Monitoring and reporting on contractual requirements and progress
Managing site documentation and maintaining accurate records
Ensuring effective communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders
Assisting in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates
Liaising with local authorities and regulatory bodies as required
Communicating with commercial staff to ensure records are prepared in a timely fashion
Ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are being complied with
Participating in project meetings and providing updates on section progress
Compiling daily activity briefings and completing site diary as required
Assisting in Managing Quality & Environmental plans on site
Ensuring quality control and adherence to project specifications
Working to the Graham IMS
Promoting a Safety Culture with the entire site team
Job Requirements:
Essential:
Strong work ethic
Previous experience in a similar role
Strong communication skills
Technical competence
Basic knowledge of NEC
HNC or higher in Civil Engineering
Desirable:
Experience working on highway schemes
Experience managing one site or a section of a larger site as part of a wider team
Strong planning skills
CPCS Appointed Person for Lifting trained
Temporary Works Coordinator trained
Proficient in use of AutoCAD
