Gloucestershire CAMHS is provided county wide through geographically located community teams (Gloucester/ Forest of Dean/ Cheltenham/ Tewkesbury/ North Cotswolds/Stroud/ Cirencester).
The post holder will:
* Work as a Highly Specialist Practitioner within a community team, which accepts referrals from a wide range of multi-agency partners as well as providing an effective and timely response to urgent referrals.
* Provide highly specialist clinical leadership regarding ongoing service improvement initiatives (including implementing learning from continuous improvement cycles) which are in line with the current Service Plan or other service priorities. This may include undertaking clinical case reviews, routine audit, evaluating outcome measures and other research methodology.
* Work as a Highly Specialist Practitioner within a specialist child in care team/service which accepts referrals from a wide range of multi-agency partners.
Main duties of the job
* Provide highly specialist monthly clinical supervision to Social Workers, Support Workers, Team & Deputy Team Manager from Social Care's Fostering Resource.
* Provide Consultation to Foster Carers within their first year of fostering, whilst maintain close links with the Fostering Teams within Social Care.
* Deliver the 'Emotional World of the Child' training, a training package written by Child Psychotherapists, to all newly approved Foster Carers.
* Conduct monthly self-harm follow up assessments with young people referred to CAMHS for a risk assessment from the Mental Health Liaison team.
* Demonstrate highly specialist skills and competency regarding complex clinical decision making, assessment, clinical formulation and the management of clinical needs, including high clinical risk cases and/or where there are complex engagement issues.
