Our award-winning museum learning programme is one of the largest in the South West, providing a comprehensive range of facilitated and self-directed learning activities suitable for all ages from Early Years to adult learners. Our museums and historic houses are visited by over 1 million people annually, including 44,000 children and young people in formal education.
The core learning programme is a traded service and is aligned with the National Curriculum KS1-4, with a focus on History, Art and Science. It is created in collaboration with teachers, external partners and colleagues across Bristol, in order to deliver an outstanding, inclusive and audience-focused cultural learning offer.
We are looking for a part-time, term-time only Museum Educator to support the Learning team with the delivery of our workshop programme for schools.
You will have a proven track record of delivering successful, creative and curriculum-focussed workshops and activities within a cultural environment.
An effective communicator, you will have considerable experience of working with a range of learning audiences and a proven ability to adapt content and delivery to meet their different learning needs.
Educated to at least A-level or an equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject, you will work closely with colleagues to deliver and help evaluate our high quality learning opportunities.
You will be expected to be available to work at any of Bristol Culture's sites across the city during term time, dependent on the demand from schools. This could also include dressing-up and role-playing a character from Bristol's past
