Children's Martial Arts Instructor

Day: Thursday Hours: 4.15pm- 6.45pm Location: Milton Rd, Westcliff-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, SS0 7JS
Martial Arts Experience
We teach a hybrid style which is Taekwondo based with elements of other arts including Karate. Experience in some form of Martial arts is desirable but NOT essential as we offer a comprehensive training program. More important are high personal Standards & qualities including Integrity reliability, enthusiasm & a passion for teaching, moderate fitness levels are required at the outset.
Transport
Use of a car is not essential but may be beneficial as occasionally there may be a requirement to transport training equipment & being able to travel could open up opportunities to attend other locations in Essex that will need temporary / Regular cover
Useful Skills & Experience for this role
Previous experience working with Children, working in the fitness Industry (Running your own business, We have trained PT's Dance teachers, Coaches,

· Additional Assignments to teach classes at locations nearby e.g. Wickford, Southend, Basildon, Benfleet, Chelmsford, Colchester, Braintree, Grays, Romford, Hornchurch, Dagenham, Barking

This opportunity is a part time role on a freelance contractor basis
All contractors are required to provide a valid DBS Certificate or undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service Application on engagement
Responsibilities
* Instruct children in martial arts techniques while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
* Participate in engaging lesson plans that promote physical fitness and teamwork.
* Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Foster positive relationships with students and parents to encourage participation.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all activities and classes.
* Organize and lead group activities that enhance children's social skills and confidence.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated that they are will & are able to to invest the time THEY require to learn the syllabus in

New joiners will need to set aside time to learn our syllabus, lesson plans, develop required skills, demonstrate understanding of our policy's & procedures etc to be signed off as a qualified MF instructor. That means putting in a bit of time outside of class each week to learn the syllabus, practise, and attend our team training sessions.
If you're self-motivated, love learning, and can commit to the extra training time, you'll thrive in this role. But if your schedule's already packed, this might not be the right moment to jump in.
