The Role
As a Primary School Sports Coach, you'll inspire children and young people across various settings, including:
* School PE Lessons: Deliver fun, structured, and educational sessions.
* After-School Clubs: Promote active lifestyles in a relaxed, supportive environment.
* Holiday Sports Camps: Lead inclusive, high-energy activities during school breaks.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality PE and sports sessions tailored to different age groups and abilities.
* Inspire and motivate children to participate and enjoy physical activity.
* Support children's physical, social, and emotional development.
* Participate in ongoing training to develop as a PE specialist.
* Promote teamwork, fair play, and healthy living through positive role modelling.
* Monitor and report on student progress and engagement.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
* Experience delivering sports or PE sessions to young people.
* UKCC Level 1 coaching qualification (or equivalent).
* A genuine passion for working with children of all abilities.
* Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
* First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
* Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable:
* Level 2 (or higher) coaching qualification.
* Experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating sports sessions.
* Driving licence (or willingness to learn).
