Oxfordshire Adult Learning is a large, fast paced faculty with a broad range of courses in Visual and creative arts, homecrafts, languages, health & well-being, employability, community learning, English, Maths and ESOL.
We are currently looking to recruit an organised and proactive Delivery Manager to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of adult programmes in the Greater Oxford city area. Part of the role includes coordinating venues, managing processes, and supporting tutors, learners, and partner provision across a sizable and rewarding curriculum.
The successful candidate will thrive in this fast‑paced and varied work environment, be solution‑focused and work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy to meet challenging deadlines.
You must be able to travel and provide support at various campuses and community venues. Flexibility will be essential at busy points of the year such as at the start of term and during exam periods and this may include some evening work. An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel, is essential to this role. You will be the first point of contact for prospective staff and external partners, therefore exceptional customer service skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
* To oversee all aspects of the OAL programme administration in the area, including student enrolment, use of venues, collection of management information, and day‑to‑day communication with staff and students.
* To ensure an administrative support service is provided to the Head of Faculty and the Curriculum Manager, and to other staff working in the area as appropriate.
* To act as a conduit of information between individuals / groups in the community and the Oxfordshire Adult Learning Service.
* To implement central systems and procedures in order to simplify systems in use.
* To ensure all venues used to deliver adult learning are fit for purpose and that staff and students using these venues have the support they require.
* To collect and share data as required.
* To ensure all information relating to courses and developments is up to date and accurate, and communicated to those who need to know it.
* To line manage the administration team in the area, including carrying out annual PDP or appraisal reviews as required.
* To contribute positively to the annual SAR and quality improvement process.
* To embed a continuous improvement culture within the defined area of work and with direct reports.
* Qualified to NVQ level 3 / A level or equivalent.
* Level 2 or equivalent in literacy and numeracy.
* An understanding and appreciation of the ethos and principles of adult and community learning, and community development/ partnership work.
* Ability to promote the college offer and network with relevant local organisations to develop and grow partnership opportunities.
* Experience of managing operational issues at site level.
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent leadership, organisational and time management skills - able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding/Child Protection issues generally and relevant to the post.
