About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Leisure Club Assistant Manager to oversee the full operations of our new Club, Square One Padel Sittingbourne, one of the UK's leading indoor padel facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a thriving, multi-use leisure venue that includes 10 indoor padel courts, a pro shop, a bar and restaurant, fitness and recovery spaces, and a growing membership base.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the entire site, leading a large team across reception, food and beverage and wider facilities.
This role requires a hands on leader who is able to sit below our Group Ops Director with a passion for sport, hospitality, and creating an exceptional member experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day to day operations across all departments including reception, restaurant & bar, pro shop, and facilities.
* Lead, train, and inspire a diverse team, setting clear standards and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
* Manage staffing levels, rotas, recruitment, and staff development.
* Deliver excellent customer service and resolve member queries and complaints effectively.
* Monitor financial performance including sales, GP%, wage costs, and overall site profitability.
* Work closely with the restaurant manager and head coach to coordinate programming, events, and corporate bookings.
* Oversee stock control and supplier relationships for all areas of the business.
* Drive community engagement and local partnerships to grow the club's profile.
* Ensure health & safety, compliance, and club standards are upheld at all times.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in leisure, hospitality, or multi-site management.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability.
* Comfortable working with financial data and reporting.
* A passion for sport and active lifestyles is highly desirable.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including some evenings and weekends.
