Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Construction Superintendent (or designee), performs manual construction tasks, minor repairs, and simple project tasks including ground work and janitorial duties; performs related work as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Performs maintenance, repair, sanitation, and janitorial duties, which may include:
o Cleaning work areas and TNHA equipment and vehicles
o Moving equipment, supplies, and furnishings
o Cleaning and washing equipment
o Repairing TNHA equipment
o Shuffling parts, equipment, and documentation as directed
o Maintaining equipment and ensuring proper care and use
o Operating TNHA equipment as authorized and directed
o Using small tools and equipment under supervision
1. Performs janitorial duties on grounds, facilities, and residential properties as assigned.
2. Maintains confidentiality of all information obtained through professional and client interactions.
3. Observes TNHA safety standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.
4. Communicates changes and progress, responds promptly to customer needs, and meets commitments.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

* Ability to learn programs and take training for job-specific tasks.
* Reasoning skills to solve practical problems.
* Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* High school diploma or GED; work experience may substitute for education.
* Physical ability to walk, climb, balance, kneel, crawl, talk, and hear. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
* Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, travel by small aircraft, and moderate noise levels.
* Valid Alaska Driver's License meeting TNHA insurance criteria.
Additional preferences:
* Alaskan / American Indian (member of a federally recognized tribe).
* Ability to speak and/or understand conversational Inupiaq.
