Join to apply for the Pharmacy Support Worker (Modern Apprentice) role at NHS Scotland.
This is a Modern Apprenticeship leading to a healthcare career as a Pharmacy Support Worker. You will study, train and work as part of our Pharmacy team based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
Responsibilities
* Assist the technical team with the day-to-day running of the Dispensary, supporting prescription dispensing for patients across our service area.
Training and Qualifications
* Work through a structured training programme towards achieving the SVQ Pharmacy Services qualification at SCQF Level 6 to meet General Pharmaceutical Council training requirements for the role.
* Applicants must have achieved, or be working towards, 3 National 4 qualifications (or SCQF equivalent) which must include English, Maths and a Science subject as a minimum.
* You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support workers in Scotland and to comply with the code of conduct throughout your employment.
* You will be required to participate in departmental rotas for early/late opening and public holidays.
Skills and Attributes
* Enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities, good communication skills and a strong team work ethic. You must demonstrate good written communication skills, be hard working with good attention to detail, be flexible in your approach and committed to completing the training programme.
