LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer to join our well-established client based in Gloucester on a full-time permanent basis.

Hours of Work:
* 37 hours per week, MONDAY - THURSDAY: 8.30AM – 5.00PM & FRIDAY: 8.30AM - 3.30PM
Salary:
* Competitive, based on experience - £45K-£55K

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a Lead Process Engineer, your daily duties will be
* Drive process optimisation and continuous improvement across manufacturing
* Implement and maintain process controls, SOPs, and production process maps
* Lead PFMEA and Control Plan activities, supporting Quality teams
* Analyse manufacturing data to improve efficiency, flow, and reduce waste
* Support new product introductions and Lean improvement activities
* Troubleshoot process issues and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
* Report on Process Engineering KPIs and support annual improvement plans
Essential Skills:
* Strong Process Engineering experience in manufacturing
* APQP knowledge (PPAP, PSW, PFMEA, Control Plans)
* Experience with process tools: Yamazumi, MOST, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, Spaghetti Diagrams
* Problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills
* Ability to read engineering drawings (GD&T)
* Organised, methodical, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
* Excellent communication and mentoring skills
* Experience managing a team
* Lean manufacturing experience (Single Piece Flow, SMED, 5S, Jidoka)
* Familiarity with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Gantt charts)
* Driving license and flexibility to travel
