Senior Director, Global Marketing – Dermatology
A global leader in OTC consumer health products is seeking a Senior Director of Global Marketing to lead its Global Dermatology Portfolio, one of the company’s highest-priority and fastest-growing categories. Based in Dublin, this strategic leadership role is an exceptional opportunity for a marketing executive to drive global category growth through strong brand management, innovation leadership, and commercial excellence. As part of a top-tier marketing leadership team, you will be accountable for building category leadership, accelerating product innovation, and strengthening brand equity across key international markets, particularly in Europe and North America.
About the Role
You will lead the development and execution of the global strategic roadmap for the Dermatology portfolio, overseeing both legacy brand performance and the launch of new platforms. This includes close collaboration with regional commercial teams, global R&D, innovation, regulatory, and insights functions. This portfolio encompasses OTC skincare solutions across areas such as minor wounds, scarring, foot care, cosmetic skin treatments, and other topical applications. Experience in regulated, consumer-driven markets such as consumer health or FMCG is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Own the global brand strategy and business growth agenda for the Dermatology category.
* Define long-term portfolio vision and positioning, informed by market trends, competitive intelligence, and consumer insights.
* Partner with R&D to shape the innovation pipeline and develop sustainable competitive advantages through product innovation and renovation.
* Identify white space opportunities and lead market-entry strategies for new segments, subcategories, and geographies.
Regional Collaboration & Execution
* Build strong partnerships with regional and in-market marketing teams to drive consistent execution of brand plans, commercial strategy, and consumer messaging.
* Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to country teams to help them localize global strategies while maintaining brand equity and alignment.
* Ensure seamless communication between central and local teams for alignment on priorities, KPIs, and in-market activations.
Brand & Marketing Excellence
* Lead brand architecture, positioning, and communications strategy across the full portfolio.
* Oversee development of global brand toolkits, consumer campaigns, and go-to-market playbooks.
* Leverage media, digital, and performance marketing channels to optimize return on investment.
* Ensure consistent visual identity and brand messaging across platforms and markets.
Innovation & Category Expansion
* Drive the end-to-end global innovation process in close coordination with R&D, Insights, and Regulatory Affairs.
* Lead ideation, concept development, business case creation, and launch planning for new product initiatives.
* Champion category expansion through M&A support, partnerships, or new technology platforms where applicable.
Experience & Qualifications
* Extensive experience in OTC and/or FMCG industries within globally recognized, blue-chip companies.
* Proven marketing leadership in global or regional roles, ideally with both European and U.S. exposure.
* Experience in consumer healthcare or regulated markets preferred.
* At least 5 years in a senior team leadership role within a matrix organization.
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence across functions and geographies.
* Commercial acumen with strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a track record of delivering business results.
* Experience in digital marketing, campaign development, and full marketing mix execution.
* Exposure to trade marketing or sales functions is a plus.
