We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Steward to lead our team and enhance the vibrant atmosphere of the Edenbridge Royal British Legion. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of our bar operations and be a central part of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bar and Staff Management:
o Oversee all daily bar operations, ensuring a high standard of service and a welcoming atmosphere for our members and guests.
o Lead, train, and manage bar staff, including creating weekly rotas and managing performance to ensure smooth operations.
• Operational Control:
o Manage all aspects of stock, including ordering, deliveries, inventory control, and minimizing waste.
o Ensure strict compliance with all licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and club policies.
o Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the bar and club facilities.
• Financial and Administrative Duties:
o Manage cash handling, till reconciliation, and reporting.
o Work with the committee to manage budgets and meet financial targets.
• Events and Community Engagement:
o Play a key role in the planning and execution of club events, such as quiz nights and live music.
o Act as a visible and welcoming presence, fostering a strong relationship with our members and the local community.

• Proven experience in a bar or hospitality management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to customer service.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of licensing laws and health and safety procedures is essential.
• A passion for supporting the Armed Forces community and the values of the Royal British Legion.
What We Offer:
• Salary: £30,000 per annum
• Contract: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
