Overview
The Law Faculty is looking to appoint a Law Bridging Programme Coordinator between May to September 2026 to assist Professor Imogen Goold, Access and Outreach Co-ordinator for the Law Faculty, to design, organise and implement the programme, and to provide some teaching for the Opportunity Oxford Programming.
Responsibilities
* The postholder will report to Professor Imogen Goold and will be supported by the Senior Access and Outreach Officer.
* Lead, with the Access and Outreach Co-ordinator, the delivery of both the non-residential and residential components of the course.
* Be responsible for setting up and maintaining the VLE for the programme, i.e. Canvas, and to teach introductory exercises used for the online non-residential component of the course and some of the skills sessions.
* Liaise with the Opportunity Oxford team on the delivery of the residential part of the course.
Qualifications
* Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent, with an excellent educational record and have experience with teaching Law as tutorials.
* Preference will be given to someone who can teach one or more of the three Moderations subjects offered by the Law Faculty: Roman Law, Constitutional Law and Criminal Law, and to someone with knowledge of pedagogical methods for legal studies.
Details
* The role is fixed term until 30 September 2026 and is offered on a 0.2 FTE basis which equates to 1 day a week.
* The hours will be spread unevenly across the period of the appointment.
* The postholder will be required to be in Oxford regularly and must be based in Oxford full-time between 7-18 September 2026 during the residential part of the course.
