About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented AAT/ACCA-qualified accountant to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit:
o Self-assessment tax returns
o Corporation tax returns
o VAT returns
* Manage client payroll accurately and within deadlines
* Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House regulations
* Maintain and manage accounting records using:
o Sage
o QuickBooks
o Xero
* Provide general accounting support, guidance, and advice to clients
* Handle bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks across multiple client accounts
Requirements
* Minimum AAT qualification (ACCA qualified or part-qualified preferred)
* Proficiency in Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero
* Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and accounting standards
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience working in an accountancy practice
* Familiarity with additional accounting software
Experience Required
* At least 1 year of experience in:
o Self-assessment tax returns
o VAT returns
o Payroll
o Bookkeeping
o Accounts preparation and corporation tax returns
Additional Requirements
* Fluent in English
* AAT/ACCA certification required
* Ability to reliably commute to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire or relocate prior to starting
