Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their Christchurch manufacturing team on the afternoon shift. Shift Details Monday to Friday 3:30pm - 11:30pm (other shifts on offer) Afternoon shift allowances apply Key Responsibilities Assembly of precision-engineered components and units for waterjet and hydraulic assemblies Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. Installing, aligning, and testing mechanical components. Diagnosing and rectifying assembly issues. Using a variety of hand and power tools. Completing quality inspections throughout the assembly process. Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of safety and workmanship. About You A recognized Mechanical Engineering trade qualification. Previous experience working as a Mechanical Fitter/assembler in a manufacturing, engineering, marine, heavy industrial, or similar environment. Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work with hydraulic systems Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
